Marlon and Tiffany Quibodeaux have successfully managed to turn a seven-acre plot of land off of U.S. 69 into a trip back in time to the 1500s. The two own Adventure Kingdom, a Renaissance-themed family fun center with an 18-hole miniature golf course, bumper cars and swan paddle boats. Renaissance music from that time period blasts through the park throughout the day. They also host parties in a cottage a Beaumont doctor built in 1932. Since Adventure Kingdom opened in November 2007, Marlon Quibodeaux said they've hosted church and company picnics, weddings, receptions, baby showers, corporate parties and birthday parties for people aged 1 to 80. "Our hope was to offer a unique, family-oriented environment where they can feel very safe," Marlon Quibodeaux said. "This place really is for all ages."
Tiffany and Marlon Quibodeaux stand in a castle on their 18-hole miniature golf course at Adventure Kingdom on U.S. 69 between Lumberton and Beaumont. The Renaissance-themed family entertainment center has a golf course, bumper cars, swan paddle boats and water wars, and sometimes employees dress in Renaissance attire.
